Role overview
The Head of Partner Development DACH is responsible for the leadership, strategy, and overall ownership of Tradedoubler’s publisher partnerships.
This role will play a crucial leadership position in expanding the Tradedoubler network, driving revenue growth, and building long-term, strategic partnerships with affiliates, advertisers, and agencies. It combines team leadership, commercial strategy, and publisher innovation with a strong focus on program growth and scalability.
In addition, the role will act as a bridge between Sales, Client Services, and Publishers, ensuring that every new program transitions seamlessly into scalable revenue. A strong focus will be on accelerating early-stage ramp-up, improving publisher acceptance rates, and developing standardised playbooks that create consistency and efficiency across international markets.
Reporting directly to the General Manager DACH and functionally to the International Head of Partnerships & Network, this role ensures alignment across regional and global partnership strategies.
Matrix collaboration with Intl Partner Manager, Tech, BI and Finance. 
Travel: Approx. 10–20% across DACH and Europe for events, publisher visits, and commercial meetings. 
Main Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
  • Build and maintain an industry-leading partnerships team, providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship to ensure growth and achievement of goals.
  • Lead cross-market initiatives with a strong international growth perspective.
Strategic Partnership Management
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive publisher partnership strategy to drive revenue and expand the network’s reach.
  • Build and nurture strategic partnerships with affiliates, advertisers, agencies, and media owners at senior level.
  • Negotiate and finalise affiliate agreements, ensuring compliance, quality, and mutual value creation.
Program Growth & Incremental Sales
  • Ensure seamless handover from Sales into Partnerships, accelerating program ramp-up and reducing time from contract to first commission.
  • Identify, negotiate, and integrate strategic publisher opportunities (e.g., Card Linking, premium networks, on site technology) into client programs.
  • Proactively drive incremental revenue and upsell opportunities across new and existing programs.
Publisher Development & Activation
  • Increase publisher acceptance rates across programs, unlocking additional revenue streams.
  • Champion new publisher trends, host masterclasses, and promote innovative formats and channels.
Performance Management
  • Monitor publisher KPIs, campaign data, and revenue delivery; create forecasts and optimisation plans.
  • Deliver against specific KPIs, including revenue targets and profitability benchmarks.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Align regularly with Sales, Client Services, Development, and Operations to ensure strategy alignment and smooth execution.
  • Support new market launches and international expansion, ensuring scalable playbooks and repeatable processes are in place.
External Representation
  • Represent Tradedoubler at senior-level partner and industry events, through commercial meetings and speaking opportunities.
People & Process Enablement (New Additions):
  • Build a publisher segmentation model (tiering by potential, vertical, and profitability).
  • Implement a Partner Health Dashboard (activity index, ramp‑up score, fraud/compliance alerts).
  • Define Deal Desk Guidelines (commission logic, margin thresholds, test‑and‑learn frameworks). 
KPIs
  • Publisher Acceptance Rate (DACH).
  • Time‑to‑First‑Commission.
  • Active Publisher Ratio per Program.
  • Incremental Revenue Growth (Net).
  • Profitability / Contribution Margin).
 
Requirements
  • Proven leadership experience in affiliate marketing, partnerships, or digital performance marketing.
  • Strong commercial awareness with ability to identify, negotiate, and close opportunities.
  • Demonstrable experience in building and scaling teams internationally.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and strategic mindset, with a data-driven approach to growth.
  • International experience, with the ability to operate effectively across multiple markets.
  • Entrepreneurial, proactive, and results-focused.
  • Expertise in GDPR/TTDSG, consent management, brand safety, and fraud prevention (bot detection, cookie stuffing, invalid traffic). 
  • Tool Stack: Tradedoubler Platforms & BI, CRM, Affiliate Platforms , feed and tracking integrations.
Your profile
You are a natural leader and communicator with a proven track record in affiliate marketing and partnership management. You combine strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and analytical thinking with the ability to inspire and scale teams across multiple markets.

Must‑Haves:
  • 6–10+ years of experience in affiliate or partnership marketing, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
  • In-depth understanding of the DACH publisher ecosystem (content & commerce, cashback, voucher, sub-networks, card linking, onsite tech, influencer/creator ecosystems).
  • Tech fluency: Familiar with affiliate/partner platforms, tracking and attribution models and GDPR/consent frameworks.
  • Data Skills: KPI definition, forecasting, BI tools (SQL, Looker, Power BI) preferred.
  • Fluent in German and English; other European languages a plus. 
Nice‑to‑Haves: Experience with commerce content ecosystems, feed management, on‑site monetization, or fintech/card‑linking publishers.
